5 Full Moon Rituals for the Buck Moon

 

The Buck Moon is about asking for what you desire and receiving it. It’s a time to envision what you want and send it out into the universe. I’ll be picking from a number of magical systems, as is my want. These are my interpretations that I’m sharing, if they don’t speak to you, use them as inspiration to find your own. 

1. Moon Water

Choose a clean glass jar, fill with spring water. As you prepare your jar set your intention. I add a corresponding crystal to boost my water. Set your jar outside in the light of the full moon or in a moonlit window sill. Let the moon charge your water overnight. 2. A success sigil

I use sigils for material desires and career goals. Be careful though, I have recently lost one job causing me a great deal of upset, the job I found because of this actually leads me closer to my overall goal. The sigil will make it happen but it doesn’t care how. So here’s how to create a sigil. 

Write a statement that says what you will be or have when you have achieved success. For example “I have a successful blog”. Now take out all of the vowels and repetitions. “HVSCFLBG”. Now arrange these shapes into a doodlable sigil. Now there are two schools of thought when it comes to what to do next. 1) use your sigil, do it once then hide it and don’t think about it again. Or 2) the one I use, doodle your sigil, use it everywhere. One note books as your Home Screen on your phone.

3. Grounding 

This is the easiest, stand outside with bare feet on the bare ground. Feel the grass, sand, dirt on your feel, connect with the ground. If you want to go for it, do it sky-clad, (naked), please don’t get arrested. 

4. A message to the Universe 

Write your desire on a bay leaf, burn the leaf (careful) and send the ashes out into the sky. You can burn in your cauldron or if your feeling brave, hold the stem while the leaf burns. 

5. Altar refresh 

Corresponding crystals, offerings, coloured candles to reflect your intention. Dress your altar for the next luna cycle to boost the strength of your intention. So for a career or business spell where I need creativity, I will be using a red candle, sun stone, citrine and pyrite.
